From their inception around campfire jams, Band of Comerados has come a long way. Formed in 2015, the band spent a few years honing their songwriting and improvisational jamming by taking gigs at pubs, breweries, block parties, house concerts, weddings and more. What followed were shows at venerable Portland venues such as LaurelThirst, White Eagle, Goodfoot, Aladdin Theatre, Wonder Ballroom, and Mississippi Studios. This progression continued with visits to towns and cities all over the west coast, including reputable music festivals like What the Festival, Beltane Music Festival, 4 Peaks Music Festival, Northwest String Summit, and more.
While recording their debut full length album throughout 2018, the band didn’t stop touring the west coast from Northern Washington to Southern California and everywhere in between, logging endless miles and spreading countless smiles. Released in May, 2019, “Trial & Error” showcases songs about the roads traveled and the stories lived, and the people met along the way.
Band of Comerados keeps playing acoustic music that makes you feel good. What sets the band apart is their intricate instrumentation, dual vocal parts, intense improvisational jams and the fact that these guys have so much damn fun when they’re playing live music!
In the end, through their music, you will get a sense that everything will be OK, as long as we all do our part. Catch the band live in and around Portland, and keep an eye out for appearances in the greater Pacific Northwest and beyond.
